This fee % is a recent change. In July, the Sovryn community voted to raise the origination fee to 99% because of collateral redemptions. Why do redemptions happen?

Not cheap, but if you hold your loan open >1 year before paying back (recall 0% interest), its competitive with other options to borrow against your #bitcoin at fixed APY. Plus, your keys, your coins! Be careful with the collateral ratio and track the protocol condition.
